The Last Thing He Told Me is a new thriller-drama about a missing person that was created by the same people who were responsible for producing “The Morning Show” and “Big Little Lies.” The Last Thing He Told Me is the result of yet another joint effort on the part of Reese Witherspoon, producer Lauren Neustadter, and Hello Sunshine, the production business owned by Reese Witherspoon.
Other projects that they have worked on together include “Where the Crawdad Sings,” the upcoming series “Small Lovely Things” on Hulu, and a wide range of adaptations of best-selling books.
The Last Thing He Told Me shows the ambition to create thrillers and more action-packed storylines, despite Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine’s history of producing specialized drama cinematic works.

What Is The Series About?
The Last Thing He Told Me is a drama about Hannah that is based on a book by Laura Dave of the same name. The Last Thing He Told Me is an unconventional family story. The plot revolves around a father who has recently remarried and a daughter who has nothing but contempt for her overbearing stepmother.
As they strive to survive, their relationship appears irreparably broken, and the family dynamic remains unstable. The father, Owen, goes missing in the midst of their battle, upending the new family and their shared lives. In the tumultuous wake of Owen’s puzzling disappearance, his wife Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey are brought together.
To discover the real cause of Owen’s disappearance, the two must grudgingly cooperate. Their initial destruction quickly gives way to uncertainty. Hannah and Bailey are left searching for solutions as more details about Owen’s excess come to light. It makes it fitting that the show is marketed as a miniseries, given how the novel concludes its plot.
