Everyone stop what you’re doing, because Hugh Jackman has shared an update on how his Wolverine training is going.
The Australian actor, 54, doesn’t look like he’s holding back on his efforts to become absolutely ripped again to play Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
Hugh shared a black and white video of himself hard at work in the gym, as his trainer egged him on.
The X-Men star rolled back and forth in the plank position with what looked like a hefty weight on his back.
He smiled and said, ‘Good afternoon’, while thanking his trainer through what looked like a fair bit of pain.
‘If you’re looking for me. I’m #becomingwolverineagain,’ he captioned the video.

Fans were impressed by the update, as one wrote: ‘If Aliens ever invade, they’ll take one look at Hugh and if they know what’s good for them, turn around and go home. They don’t want none of this 😂’.
Another supportively penned, ‘You got this legend!’ while a third joked: ‘Hugh Jackedman’.
We don’t envy Hugh’s workout routine, but we will probably all be pretty jealous of his abs by the end of it.
The actor is set to return to his famous role as the bad-tempered Wolverine in the latest installment of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool franchise.
The Marvel actor has played the character in eight X-Men films from 2000 until 2016, and he last appeared as Wolverine in Logan in 2017.

His return came after Ryan made a few pretty unsubtle hints that he wanted to get the actor on board for the film.
The Wrexham AFC co-owner made the happy announcement through a video in which he teased fans he was all out of ideas for the next Deadpool film ‘except one’.
Hugh then casually walked into frame, and Ryan said, ‘Hey Hugh, want to play Wolverine one last time?’
To the delight of fans, the actor replied: ‘Yeah, sure Ryan’.
This most recent gym update comes after Hugh admitted getting in shape for Wolverine would be his full time job for six months.

Speaking on HBO Max’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace, he said: ‘I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time.
‘So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s The Music Man] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work.
‘I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.’
It was also recently revealed the actor is consuming a staggering 8,600 calories a day for his gruelling bulking regime.
Now that’s one part of his training we can totally get on board with.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for release on September 6 2024.
